Many people believe that because orchids are such exotic plants that they are particularly difficult to care for in the home. Although the orchids bloom for a long time there is a common misconception that once the flowers have finally finished that the plant is of no further use and should be trashed. This is completely untrue and it is relatively easy to persuade your orchid to flower again, but you have to be patient because it will take several months.
