A house with no plants is like a room with no pictures. In both cases you know that something is missing. And houseplants perform a dual function of both providing attractive decor and at the same time acting as natural air cleaners. This collection of the top ten houseplants has been compiled by Bube whose article I found on the Top Inspired website. See if you agree with her choice.
Indoor plants can be useful thanks to many of their
properties – they can be air-purifying, insect-repelling, to
de-stress, spread amazing scent or just for the sake of
making our interior prettier. If this is the case why you want
to add some plants in certain room, know that you have so
much choice!
That?s why in this article, we are sharing with you our ten
favorite indoor plants for this season (or any season!). You
will read about small plants such as cacti or bigger ones such
as the ficus. Just scroll along and see which one will fit your
room the best. 1. Aloe Vera via daisy-pickers.tumblr.com
Aloe Vera doesn?t like when it?s cold and frozen outside, so
it?s best to keep it inside during winter. It needs good potting
soil and a pot that allows drainage, because otherwise the
roots might rot if being exposed to water for longer period of
time. This plant doesn?t need to be fertilized and its
leaves grow upward from the base. Aloe is not only popular
houseplant choice because of its look, but because of the
health properties it has as well. 2. English Ivy via interiorpros.wordpress.com
The English Ivy is a climber that doesn?t require too much
work around it. Make sure to water the plant and keep the soil
moist until it is established and it grows, after that it doesn?t
need watering that much. The plant doesn?t need fertilizer
most of the time as well and when grown indoors, it?s
important to plant the English Ivy in pots with stakes that
allow it to vertically climb, or in basket where it can tumble
over the edges.
