When choosing flowers we look for a particular variety, color and fragrance, but we may be unaware of the fourth property which is the meaning attached by the language of flowers. This language is known as floriography and ascribes an individual message to each type of flower. These include daffodils which she interprets as expressing vanity. Unfortunately Heather is contradicted by information on the Victorian Bazaar website which claims that daffodils express “Regard, Unrequited Love, Sunshine, Respect, The sun shines when I’m with you”.

If you do a little research, there are certain blooms that have a negative meaning.
