BEST 7 PLACES TO ENJOY FALL FOLIAGE IN US

Fall is the favorite season for many people as the leaves turn to autumn gold and the weather follows suit adding a nip in the air. While everyone will have their local favorites where they can walk among the falling leaves and escape the noise and bustle of the city, these seven places described below are all well worth a visit. I came across this list in an article by Shannon McKee which I found over on Dave’s Garden website.

There are plenty of places that have beautiful fall foliage, but how do you know what areas to visit?
The fall foliage is one of the best things about the changing of the seasons. The beautiful reds, golds, oranges, and browns all mixed together against a startling blue backdrop is something special. Add in the crisp days, and you have a recipe for a wonderful autumn vacation.
Here are some hot spots to hit if you’re looking for a gorgeous (somewhat) nearby location to sit back and enjoy the scenery.
1. Western Maine

You know that the fall foliage is going to be pretty amazing when there is a dedicated website for up-to-date reports on the foliage all around the state. The whole area of Maine is perfect for fall foliage watching, but if you?re looking to go off the beaten path, Western Maine should be on your list. Western Maine is a little more remote, the season is shorter for the area, and the weather is chillier than other regions, which all adds up to a huge potential for getting away from everyone else seeking to explore the changing leaves. Plus, since this isn?t a typical area for tourists, you may luck out and get a good deal on your lodging expenses.
